What differs by home type: the Flats and the Courts and Towns.
Courts and Towns
- Label your garbage bin and your recycling bin with your address, and your unit number if you have one.
- Bring your bins in on the same day as pickup.
- Between pickups, keep your bins out of view.
The Flats
- Bag and tie all trash before it goes down the chute.
- Never put a box in a chute, not even a pizza box. Break boxes down, carry them down, and put them in the bins in the garage.
- Never put large items in a chute. They block it.
- Never put chemicals or other hazardous items in a chute.
- Leave nothing in front of or around the garbage and recycling gates in the garage.
Large items
- Old furniture, appliances, flooring and construction debris are the resident’s job to remove, at their own cost. They never go in a chute or a dumpster.
- The City picks up large items for free. Book it through San José 311 first: see Emergency and city contacts.
- Management can arrange a special pickup. The owner pays its cost.
- Never leave anything in a common area. Dumping furniture, garbage, plants or anything else is not allowed.
Paint and liquids
- Never put paint in the garbage or a dumpster. Wet paint is hazardous waste.
- Never pour any liquid into a street or a storm drain.
- Never store trash on your deck or patio.
Holiday trees
Management emails the holiday tree pickup dates each December. For the 2025 season, Courts and Towns put trees beside the garage, and the Flats put trees beside the dumpster, with every decoration removed.
Pickup day
The documents this page uses do not state a pickup day. Ask management for yours.
